Meet Sandy McDonough


Samuel Frierson McDonough, Jr. (Sandy) is a Dallas native and graduate of Highland Park High School and Baylor University with degrees in History and Political Science.  He served in the United States Marines and later served as Vice President for a family business.  For 30 years he has been a Realtor in the Dallas Metroplex. 

A few years ago, while researching his family history he discovered that his maternal ancestors landed at Jamestown and settled in vast plantations in the Northern Neck of Virginia.  This interesting discovery led to several trips over many years in further research and to the authorship of three books:  "Our Founding Fathers Homes and Churches in Virginia", "A Sailor Returns Home", and "The Faith That Saved a Nation".

Mr. McDonough is a fourth generation nephew of George Washington. He currently resides in Dallas with his wife Susie and has three children:  Robert, Joe, and John. He is available for speaking engagements on the topic of our founding fathers.
