Sandy became interested in the story of his 3rd great-Grandfather, John Tayloe IV while researching his first book on the homes of our founding fathers.
John Tayloe's portrait had been a fixture in the McDonough homes all of Sandy's life, but it wasn't until he discovered the personal documents that he realized what an important role he had played in the War of 1812 and other historical events.
The Tayloes of Virginia were entreprenuers of the first order in 18th century America. "A Sailor Returns Home" is a fascinating peek into the life of an early American patriot.

No one single person has had a greater impact upon America in her relatively short history than George Washington. Certainly there have been many Americans who have contributed mightily to the development of the new nation, yet only one figure truly stands head and shoulders above all the rest - George Washington.
America was truly blessed to have had a man of such stature at the time of her birth as an independent nation who possessed such integrity, character, courage and a profound faith in God.
Follow Sandy's narration of historic events in Washington's life that demonstrate how his faith shaped our nation in its earliest days.
